| The horse is an animal of the Goddess and calls us to journey and travel, bringing us energy and speed, and connects us to the power of both the earth and the sun. The Horse Goddess Macha is the patroness of the complete life cycle of birth, death and re-birth, and she guides the soul into the physical world at Beltane and guides the soul out of the physical world at Samhain. These two gateways are fundamental points in the life cycle, and symbolise the Goddess as life giver and life taker. The horse is symbolic of fertility, not only animal fertility, but fertility of the land itself. The horse is also closely linked to the sun and so has solar attributes of power and enlightenment. Attuning to the spirit of the horse will help us to connect with our sense of place in the world, as we grow to feel every aspect of the life-cycle, knowing that the Goddess protects and guides us through each of its stages. |

Welcome to the New Moon Newsletter, a monthly online newsletter issued on the first day of the New Moon and this newsletter marks it's launch. Here you will find all sorts of articles varying from month to month with the exception of a different New Moon animal which represents for me the passing of the seasons; an update on what I'm doing in the garden, what I've planted and how it's all going; gardening tips and recipes. You will find different discussion articles, some relating to Goddesses and Gods, the Sabbats, ceremonies, talismans, alternative therapies - just whatever I feel like doing at the time, but I will aim for 4 pages every New Moon so hopefully there will be something for everyone.
